Tim Lankford
FRC, NSSA, RFC
Tim Lankford has been helping his clients retire for more than twenty years. He specializes in the areas of clients who are federal employees. Tim is an expert on the topics of FEGLI, healthcare, Medicare, Social Security, pensions, and the TSP for federal employees. He helps his clients understand the confusing process of retiring from the federal government without making mistakes.
After working with clients for several years, in 2007, he decided to start his own company and named it West Point Financial. He named it in honor of his son, a West Point Academy soldier. From the beginning, Tim has focused his company’s efforts on “Serving the Underserved Federal Employee.”
Tim has spoken to thousands of employees nationwide, helping them get the answers they need to understand the impact of their decisions on retirement. He encourages the employees to initiate a strategic plan by laying out manageable steps to achieve their retirement goals.
As a Federal Employee Benefits Advisor (FRC), a National Social Security Advisor (NSSA), and a Registered Financial Consultant (RFC), Tim expertly guides his clients to take a critical look at their retirement strategy and helps them evaluate the decisions they have made or need to make to best prepare them to step into retirement. Together with his clients, Tim will develop a plan that will complement the needs and goals of the client, whether they are trying to retire within the next 60 days or six years.
Tim has a Bachelor of Arts degree in professional staff relations and a minor in business administration. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mid America Christian University with Highest Honors, where he was President of the Student Ministerial Fellowship. Tim has learned to be very attentive to details and driven to help others be successful. He demonstrated this with his athletic achievements, also. He was an All-State wrestler in High School and had a successful collegiate wrestling career.
Tim resides in Central Indiana, has three adult children, and lives with his wife, Beth, and their daughter, Emma, who is excelling in academics at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.
